Simply explained - Fabric8 is a SaaS (Software as a Service) software program, licenced on a subscription basis, is centrally hosted on VPS servers, and is accessed by business management for information input and reporting, and by users for task reporting and documentation access by internet connected web browsers anywhere in the world.

Fabric8 was designed on the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Silly) as a system for the scheduling of Jobs (and tasks) on the internet out of the frustrations with old systems of managing businesses in uncoordinated, inefficient, ineffectual, time consuming and error creating ways , with costly separate departments, suppliers and contractors with separate egos, priorities, technical knowledge and experience all pretending to be part of the big picture but individually running their own race..
We wanted (and we believe we have achieved) a single transparent system of scheduling of business Jobs, procedures and tasks to enable businesses to increase production, minimise delays, provide two way scheduling communication, empowering staff and participants with the knowledge of their day to day and forward planning of task requirements and standards of completions, providing reporting mechanisms to assist with achieving business scheduling targets, meeting client and customer expectations within compliance and Policy constraints, increasing, flexability, agility, achieving cost saving through the application of Internet Technology via better scheduling, communication and Accountability.
We believe we have created a system for providing businesses the tools to create a happier and more productive business environment by removing the blame game of who should have done what, when, how and to what required standards for all Jobs, tasks and processes.
The Aim of Fabric8
There is always a better way to do and manage business.
Our Aim is to empower businesses to have greater control of their business by the introduction of a cost effective cloud based internet system of scheduling management to provide all information for the smooth completion of all business tasks by providing all participants with task allocations and associated notes, task scheduling requirements, Business Rules Regulations and Procedures, together with Job documentation necessary to satisfactorily complete all Job and business management tasks.
Thus
- Having one central system to manage scheduling requirements of a business.
- Assisting jobs and tasks to be completed, as allocated, as scheduled, as communicated, to Business Policies Rules and Regulations, to supplied specifications and associated documentation, to Compliance requirements, Safety requirements and to budget.
- Minimising costs, Technology- Set up costs, and Management costs.
- Improving compliance with scheduling and documentation providing evidence of evidence of non compliance.
- Managing liability. (Compliance, Risk, liquidated damages etc)
- Managing and Communicating all scheduling matters including delays, document reviews, scheduling extensions of time etc.
- Accountability for tasks to be completed to all communicated scheduling, notes and documentation.
- Can be used as a tool to illustrate business professionalism and ability to meet scheduling deadlines.

The Future of Fabric8
Fabric8 will be continually reviewed for improvements and added features.
We have been researching for a couple of years the introduction of a Cloud based Estimating system and also some apps to use in business. Currently these does not have a high priority, but we always appreciate your ideas of possible apps.
